Torch

An AWS product Torch: A scientific computing framework for LuaJIT powered by Miri Infotech. Torch is a suite of business tools that uses data mining, machine learning and artificial intelligence to automate work, save money and help in business grow. On Torch you can manage warehouse and store inventory, provide real time shipping costs to customers, and optimize your sales process. By capturing and analyzing data, Torch learns about your customers, allowing you to provide better online service without investing additional resources.

We are launching a product which will configure and publish Torch , business tools which is embedded pre-configured tool with LAMP and ready-to-launch AMI on Amazon EC2 that contains Torch, Apache, MySQL, Linux, PHP (LAMP).

Torch is the all-in-one artificial intelligence powered business suite. It provided everything you need to build, manage, and grow your company in a single platform. Check out some of the features below.

Torch is a scientific computing framework with wide support for machine learning algorithms that puts GPUs first. It is easy to use and efficient, thanks to an easy and fast scripting language, LuaJIT, and an underlying C/CUDA implementation

User interaction features include:
  • a powerful N-dimensional array
  • lots of routines for indexing, slicing, transposing, ...
  • amazing interface to C, via LuaJIT
  • linear algebra routines
  • neural network, and energy-based models
  • numeric optimization routines
  • Fast and efficient GPU support
  • Embeddable, with ports to iOS, Android and FPGA backends
Torch packages provides:

Tensor Library

  • Tensor defines the all powerful tensor object that provides multi-dimensional numerical arrays with type templating.
  • Mathematical operations that are defined for the tensor object types.
  • Storage defines a simple storage interface that controls the underlying storage for any tensor object.

File I/O Interface Library

  • File is an abstract interface for common file operations.
  • Disk File defines operations on files stored on disk.
  • Memory File defines operations on stored in RAM.
  • Pipe File defines operations for using piped commands.
  • High-Level File operations defines higher-level serialization functions.

Useful Utilities

  • Timer provides functionality for measuring time.
  • Tester is a generic tester framework.
  • CmdLine is a command line argument parsing utility.
  • Random defines a random number generator package with various distributions.
  • Finally useful utility functions are provided for easy handling of torch tensor types and class inheritance.

You can subscribe to Tourch, an AWS Marketplace product and launch an instance from the product's AMI using the Amazon EC2 launch wizard.

To launch an instance from the AWS Marketplace using the launch wizard
  • Open the Amazon EC2 console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/ec2/
  • From the Amazon EC2 dashboard, choose Launch Instance.
On the Choose an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) page, choose the AWS Marketplace category on the left. Find a suitable AMI by browsing the categories, or using the search functionality. Choose Select to choose your product.
  • A dialog displays an overview of the product you've selected. You can view the pricing information, as well as any other information that the vendor has provided. When you're ready, choose Continue.
  • On the Choose an Instance Type page, select the hardware configuration and size of the instance to launch. When you're done, choose Next: Configure Instance Details.
  • On the next pages of the wizard, you can configure your instance, add storage, and add tags. For more information about the different options you can configure, see Launching an Instance. Choose Next until you reach the Configure Security Group page.
  • The wizard creates a new security group according to the vendor's specifications for the product. The security group may include rules that allow all IP addresses (0.0.0.0/0) access on SSH (port 22) on Linux or RDP (port 3389) on Windows. We recommend that you adjust these rules to allow only a specific address or range of addresses to access your instance over those ports.
  • When you are ready, choose Review and Launch.
  • On the Review Instance Launch page, check the details of the AMI from which you're about to launch the instance, as well as the other configuration details you set up in the wizard. When you're ready, choose Launch to select or create a key pair, and launch your instance.
  • Depending on the product you've subscribed to, the instance may take a few minutes or more to launch. You are first subscribed to the product before your instance can launch. If there are any problems with your credit card details, you will be asked to update your account details. When the launch confirmation page displays

About

Torch is the all-in-one artifical intelligence powered business suite. We have provided everything you need to build, manage, and grow your company in a single platform. Check out some of the features below.

Guidelines

We've created an easy to use email marketing builder that uses artificial intelligence. Let Torch figure out who and when to send email newsletters to.

Limitations

  • Torch 7 is almost as low-level as Theano but has more of logic (like backprop), Optimization Solvers etc built in so one has to write lesser code if one is using a standard algo.

Usage / Deployment Instruction

Open Putty

Step1: Type <instanceID> at “Host Name Column”

Step2: Open SSh from right side Area

Step3: Click on Auth.

Step4: Click on browse button and select ppk file for Torch .

Step5: Click on Open

Command for Install torch

  • yum list php*
  • yum install php56-mbstring.x86_64
  • git clone https://github.com/torch/distro.git ~/torch --recursive
  • cd ~/torch; bash install-deps;

  • cd ~/torch
  • ./install.sh
  • TORCH_LUA_VERSION=LUA52 ./install.s
  • luarocks install image
  • wget https://luarocks.org/releases/luarocks-2.4.1.tar.gz
  • tar zxpf luarocks-2.4.1.tar.gz
  • cd luarocks-2.4.1
  • luarocks install image
  • git clone http://luajit.org/git/luajit-2.0.git
  • ls –l
  • cd luajit-2.0/
  • s –l
  • sudo make install
  • luajit -b test.lua test.out

Step5: Installation Complete

SSH using root user is disabled. ec2-user is the sudo user with root privileges with access using the key pair created during launching the instance.

MYSQL can be accessed only with SSH

MYSQL User : root

Password : <instanceID>

Note : You are not supposed to change it.
